George Test Drives AC1-RHYTHM-VOX

“Folkal Heroes” Songwriting Competition is Moving Forward…

The results are in and George is busy behind closed doors, happily producing away. The album is shaping up to his high expectations – if anyone ever asked, “Does Almonte really have talent?”, one listen will be all one needs to confirm it. ( Not that this album is comprehensive of our talent!! but it is indeed indicative, and will feature many of our fine players ) Yes, Almonte has talent! And not all finalists were right from town, but the majority are indeed bouncing around in our backyards. A very strong album, as promised, is coming soon to a music store near you! Stay tuned for a list ( and samples too ) of our finalists…

Help Us Share the Love

Come on in and check out some of the previously loved instruments that we have to offer at Mississippi Mills Musicworks. We currently have several guitars including the Ovation, an 80s Japanese Fender Strat, an Aria Pro II, a BC Warlock (at an AWSOME price!!), a Yamaha campfire special and an 8 string lap steel guitar. We also have a Yamaha trombone, and an Artley Clarinet. Feel free to stop by and try out some of these instruments during store hours!!

Strumsticks Are Back!

Come check them out in store today! Even if you have no prior instruction with instruments you will be able to catch onto this instrument right away because it is tuned to sound nice no matter what you play on it. Great for kids who are just starting out in music or for older students who haven’t been near an instrument in years. You won’t believe how good you’ll sound on this instrument! We also have strumsticks that are for the more advanced student because they are tuned more like a guitar.

Benefit Concert a Success!

Many thanks go out to everyone that made it to Old Town Hall Friday October 15 to support our cause at the benefit concert and silent auction. The night started out with a rockin’ performance from Ken Workman and the Union and then of course the tribute to Gordon Lightfoot. Thanks also go to all the awesome donors in the Almonte community that gave us items for the silent auction. We still have a few items left so if you still need to pick them up or if you are interested in buying them either come into the store Monday-Saturday or check out what we have here. Be sure to check in again soon to find out what MAV will be doing next and to find out more about MAV check out the website.

Our Team just keeps growing stronger…
